Fit in Padfolio I Already Own

Although I love the idea of having a hard cover/case for this, I’d like to be able to use this with my existing padfolio. It looks like the base of this product extends out too much that it won’t fit in my padfolio.

RussI have several pad holders I could use if the orbit could be made to fit standard padfolios. Some kind of closable cover to keep it out of the weather, protect it in a computer bag, etc. is extremely important.
